What is that?
That, my friends, is blue sky!
It feels as if it has been weeks since we last saw some sunshine. My family and I went for a long-ish walk Sunday afternoon and we saw the tiniest slice of blue sky for maybe 3 seconds. Then, it was gone.
But today the sun was out and shining. So it was time for us to get out and walk.
Laurie: "It's so nice out. It feels nice to be out in the sun and feeling my back get warm."
We weren't the only ones who thought so.
We saw plenty of shoppers downtown (yay!), cyclists (not bikers, apparently; I called someone that last year and he was less than pleased with me) and others just hanging out on their front steps.
It almost seems odd to see grass again!
(Just look at that relatively tiny pile of snow!)
Laurie is still battling a knee issue, but she did pretty well. We walked about a mile or so, I would guess, and she kept a nice pace. I don't know if her physical therapist will be too excited about how far we went, but she can fill you in on that conversation tomorrow.
Other things we saw today:
(St. Patrick's is tomorrow. I remembered that this morning when I nearly wore my green pants to work. I'm not at all Irish so I've never really gotten into the whole St. Patrick's thing, but since I thought of it, I figured I should save a little green for tomorrow. Ask me tomorrow, though, whether I remember to actually wear them -- I always forget.)
(Take- A-Kid Fishing always reminds me of when I was bitty and I would curl up in the bottom of the ol' fishing boat and sleep while my dad and older brother would fish. But it must have had at least some impact on me -- I still like to fish. I just won't bait my own hook.)
(I don't think it was actually this warm, but it was nice to see the needle above zero.)

Today's Puzzler comes to you from downtown:
Have a great day!
