we've been spoiled...
So, if anything, this week's weather has shown to us that we've been very spoiled this summer with comfortable temperatures and pleasant days. This week has just been plain hot for us. Well, me, anyway. And I used to really, really love heat. I love it when it's 80-plus and I can just swelter - and usually catch a sunburn. But now I'm just miserable. Maybe I'm getting old?
We ran into this guy while walking yesterday. (This is my husband, Ray, who was out working near where we were walking.) He looked so darn comfortable in his air-conditioned truck that minutes later, we found ourselves wondering if we should backtrack to where he was working.
So the quotes of the day:
Me: I'm just dripping out here.
Laurie: Yeah ... think if we went back Ray would give us a ride home?
Me: Uh, he probably wouldn't let us in the car.
Laurie: Yeah, we'd probably pollute it.
(You'll notice that I'm not using quotes; well, I'm doing this from memory the day after we walked. So I'm sure I'm not perfect on these "quotes" at all.)
What else happened today? I ran after birds (the first picture) as I tried to get a picture of the gulls taking off. I thought I had a better shot, but this was all that was on the camera.
We also saw our first moose!
OK, obviously not, but c'mon, you have to admit that this tree thing certainly resembles one!
So that's about it. The following is our latest How Well Do You Know Bemidji photo. See if you can figure out where it was taken.
Have a good day!

The answer from Tuesday, by the way, is that it was a photo taken of a mural painted on the wall in one of the hallways at Bemidji State University, down by the University Bookstore.
