Nat'l Park elk poacher fined $2,500
A Woodland man was sentenced Monday to three years probation after pleading guilty to illegally hunting elk at the Olympic National Park.
Robert Hurst, 38, was ordered to forfeit any hunting licenses, stamps or permits, as well as perform 80 hours of community service. U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Richard Creatura in Tacoma also ordered Hurst to forfeit all parts of the illegally taken trophy Roosevelt bull elk.
